UMCOR Aids Migrants, Refugees: For years, UMCOR has worked with partners in serving those displaced by fighting in Syria and Iraq and other locations. To date, UMCOR has allocated $2 million to provide the basics of life to displaced people in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, and Turkey, said Thomas Kemper of the General Board of Global Ministries.

Staples donates to UMCOR: The office-supply chain Staples has donated $17,457 to the United Methodist Committee on Relief. It’s the result of a partnership between Staples and the General Council on Finance and Administration. Using the Staples Advantage program, churches and individuals receive savings through online and in-store shopping. A 1 percent rebate of those sales goes to UMCOR.
