From the time of John and Charles Wesley, praising God through music has been an integral part of the worship of God’s people in the United Methodist Church.  Here at Salem, we continue the tradition of providing music in worship that uplifts and focuses our attention on God.

At Salem, we use a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary praise songs in our worship services.  Led by a pipe organ and baby grand piano, we sing praises to God.  Our Chancel Choir adds special anthems weekly during the school year.   In addition, our three octaves of handbells add to our worship experience on a regular basis.

The Salem Chancel Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 PM.  The Salem Bell Choir rehearses at 6:30 PM on Wednesdays.  We are always looking for new people to join us in praising God through music.  Come and help us make a joyful noise to God.

In addition to the choir and bell choir, there are plenty of opportunities for vocal and instrumental soloists and ensembles to play or sing throughout the year.

We invite you to be a part of the Methodist tradition of praising God through music at Salem United Methodist Church!
